Greece - Port workers on strike till 6th of February 

Port workers unions in Greece announced the continuation of their General Strike affecting all ferry-ship movements into Greece till Wed 6th of February.  Contingency plans have been activated to mitigate the impact (alternative routing on export where possible e.g. SKG via SOF and ATH via Air) but in any case the impact it is anticipated to be high due to extent of the strike (in days).  In summary as from today no ERN road linehauls can be executed  to/from Greece and Economy Express material will be affected.  This will affect 48N material (import and export ) to/from Cyprus as ATH is the transit hub for LCA. 

Further broadcast messages will follow to update you regarding the situation. 

Shipments affected will be updated with "IAO" with remarks on the situation.
