[2013-04-05] |
Dear All
VAT Process being
implemented for Deliveries done in Delhi city, India
With effect from 1st
April 2013, the Department of Trade & Taxes in the State of Delhi, has made
it mandatory for Consignee’s to file a T2 form on line to register commodity,
quantity and value of the goods which are being received by them from within
India or from abroad. TNT as a Service Provider (Transporter) has to comply with
this new regulation; therefore, we have established the following
process:
- Contact the Customer
through e-mail or phone post consignment being cleared from Customs and provide
them with Consignment Note, Invoice details (commodity, quantity & value),
duties and taxes to support the Consignee to file this information on line.
- On receiving this
information, the Consignee has to complete Form T2 on line and will receive an
acknowledgement number, which has to be provided to TNT.
- TNT will only deliver
consignments with a valid acknowledgement number. Consignee’s who are exempt
have to provide TNT with a valid certificate which states that they are exempt
from filing of information in Form T2
- The above said
process is applicable to consignee's having Gross turnover (GTO) is greater than
or equal to INR 100 Million or EURO 1,407,460
- Following depot codes
will have this process (DEL, OK1, CP1, NA7 & DE8)
As this is a new
process, please expect delays in deliveries as the responsibility of filing this
information rests on the Consignee.
With
Warm Regards,
Team,BMC
