New Delhi: Commonwealth Games Federation president Michael Fennell on Thursday paid handsome tributes to Delhi for "delivering an exceptional Games".
"You have delivered a truly exceptional Games. Thank you Delhi!" he said at the closing ceremony of the Commonwealth Games at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.
He said that the New Delhi Games had left behind a rich legacy of not just the infrastructure but also human capacity for organising such a multi-sporting event.
Fennel said it was time to look forward to the 2014 Glasgow Games. But he underlined that Delhi would be a "hard act" to follow.
"It will be a hard act to follow but we have every confidence that the bar will be raised once again," he said
