Strike Update- NIGERIA

The current general strike in Nigeria is entering its fourth day and shows no signs of abating. The strike called by major labour unions against withdrawal of fuel subsidy is receiving increasing response by the day. Incidents of violence are on the rise forcing traffic to be off the roads and people staying indoors. Most airlines have cancelled flights to Nigeria in view of the prevailing situation. All inbound material will be held at respective hubs hence all the pick ups & deliveries will be affected.

Delivery Delays - BANGLADESH

Please be informed that starting from the 13th January 2012 till 15th January 2012, the three day Biswa Ijtema, the second largest Muslim gathering after Haj, will start on the banks of river Turag. Several Lakhs of devotees and many foreign devotees from several countries are also taking part in this gathering.

Due to the Ijtema, traffic police has announced a road blockade for all the vehicles for several roads including the Airport Road. During this time no vehicles will be allowed on these roads.

Import & Export Customs clearance,pick-ups and deliveries will be affected during this period.

Full deliveries will resume on the 16th January 2012.
